๐ŸŽฏ FIND MY COUNTRY

Where should you actually move?

Four quick questions, then your top 5 cities, ranked by what matters most to you, not a generic "best of" list. Free, and your matches show up right on this page, no email required. Cities rated unsafe or under a travel advisory are left out (you can still explore them in the City Finder).

1. Which passport do you travel on?

2. What's your monthly budget?

3. How much does nice weather matter?

4. What matters most to you?

How the quiz works

The quiz runs the same scoring engine as the City Finder over the 163 cities with cost data, weighted toward what you say matters most. It is calculated in your browser: your answers stay on this page (and in its address, so you can bookmark it) unless you choose to fill in one of the forms above.

Do I have to give my email?

No. Your five matches appear on this page straight away. The email form is optional and only sends you a copy of the shortlist; the page address also saves your answers, so bookmarking it works just as well.

How are the five cities chosen?

Every city is scored 0โ€“100 on cost, climate, safety, internet, visa-free stay, nomad-visa access, tax, legal exposure and path to residency. Your answers set the weights: the priority you pick carries roughly half the total, and saying weather matters raises the climate weight. Cities over your budget are left out, and so are cities rated unsafe or under a conflict-zone travel advisory (they are still in the City Finder). Ties go to the cheaper city.

Does it account for my passport?

Yes. Visa-free stay lengths are looked up for US, EU, UK, Canadian and Australian passports, and the stay length feeds the score. Nomad-visa, tax and legal ratings are researched for US citizens.

Where does the data come from?

The same datasets as the rest of the site: Numbeo cost baskets and safety surveys, official homicide and road-death statistics, three years of measured hourly weather, Ookla speed-test medians, and our own country research on visas, tax and family law. Each dashboard shows when its data was last updated, and figures that are estimates carry an โ“˜ mark.

What happens if I ask for visa help?

We read every request and reply by email, usually within a couple of days, pointing you to a provider who handles nomad or residency visa paperwork for that country. Providers are independent and set their own fees, and we may be paid for a referral. Nothing on this site is legal or immigration advice.
