Where you'll see them

Affiliate links appear next to the research they relate to, for example:

🏥 health and travel insurance, on the insurance comparison and city pages
🛂 visa and residency services, on visa and country pages
🧾 tax preparation for Americans abroad, on tax pages
💸 money transfer and banking, and 📱 eSIMs

Each affiliate button carries a short note saying so. If you ask us for visa help through the Find My Country page, we point you to independent providers who set their own fees, and we may be paid for the referral.

What money never changes

Rankings. City and country scores come only from the data and the weights you choose. No company can pay to move a city up or down.
The data. Costs, visa rules, tax figures and safety statistics are shown as sourced and dated, whether or not a related partner pays us.
What we recommend. We link to a provider because it's relevant to the page, and we list options we don't earn from alongside those we do.

If we ever show a paid placement, it will be labelled Sponsored.
